How to start in graphic design

I am an architecture student and interested in graphic design, however my school does not offer such program. Is there any good place for me to get started?

There are so many graphic tutorials online it's unreal. Even many with video tutorials. Just google "graphic tutorials" or "photoshop tutorials", sure you'll find plenty. Sorry, don't know any specific sites off hand.

If you want to try a free graphic designer, checkout gimp, if you want support just go on to youtube, there are tonnes of tutorials. It's fast and free, what more could you ask for!

I took a few years of college in graphic design. In order to stay up to date today, you must work on tutorials to keep your skills fresh. Use the free stuff online and save yourself money on the high cost of software. Good luck to you. fellow designer.
