What do you do to motivate yourself?

Just wondering what everyone else does to motivate themselves to keep going after a long day?

Sometimes it's well hard to keep your eyes open when you've been staring at a screen for hours..

Any tips?

For me the best way is to create a list of things to be done. I get great motivation from being able to cross tasks done off my list. You must stay focused.

I stay focused on the BIG picture, while understanding that it's the small tasks that lead to the end results. A brick wall is completed one brick at a time...the small tasks are like the individual bricks...and if you continue to lay the bricks, eventually you will have built a wall.

Stay focused and don't let distractions lead you in the wrong direction. You should be laying at least one brick (doing a task) every day, that will lead you in the direction of finishing the wall.

When one project gets to be too "boring"...I switch to another....fresh look, fresh feel...

Or just get away from them all for a while......

I paint landscapes and have a studio set up..(used to be the dining room)
Work on a painting for a while ...clears my mind from the computer focus.....
Works for me....

When I need to motivate myself I look at the benefits of doing the work that I am doing. If I can't get some thing done, I try to get motivation from work of others. Check them out and analyze them carefully and say to myself "if they can do that, so can i"

Want Motivation, Have a Break!

We all internet marketers are very hard workers (Who lagughed? It is true!). We create products, websites, blogs etc. and then we start promoting them. Then we get some good results, and some times our efforts get no reward. Then our faces get pale and our brain get tired. Thou it get tired in that possition it don't hessitate to think that you should leave this business. In this possition I think we all needs break! Break from internet marketing, Break from intenet itself! Do some enjoyment, Do some other activity, Just timepass... and return with force after that. Attack on your work. You will going to win. You get motivation atomatically. This my funda. Hope like all.

One of the many things I do is, Set Goals and Deadlines, then Apply all of my Energy to achieve it, on or before Time.

This helps me a lot in staying motivated all the until I finish My Project.

You may be aware that setting goals is very important, but even more important thing is to set deadlines. That's what I have learned from my personal experience.

I use goals and task lists to stay focused, like some others have mentioned above, but it seems like sometimes there just isn't any motivation to be had. When those times come along, I make a deal with myself to do just one productive thing and then walk away from working. More than half the time, once I get started working I just keep going.

The other times I stop for a while, or even for the rest of the day. Either way, at least I've motivated myself to do at least one thing. Often the lack of motivation for me comes from feeling overwhelmed, so breaking it down to just one thing to get done makes it easier to start, and since I've already given myself permission to not get everything done today, I feel less overwhelmed and more likely to want to keep working.

When I have a hard time focus, I listen to "feel good" music and it usually gives me a good headstart. This works well especially when I'm writing.

Since I have a toddler, I don't have a choice but to remain motivated at the end of a long day. Kind of hard to explain to her that Mommy's too tired to play. Spending time with her helps to rejuvinate me and keeps me going.
