Hosting?

Hi Guys,

Was just wondering if anyone knew the average cost that people are paying for their hosting services these days?

Thanks in advance,

Dave.

I build websites for clients and sometimes host them therefore I have a reseller account at my host. I insist on a Canadian data center (because of the US Patriot Act) and good support is essential so I pay C$35.95 a month which my clients cover off for me through annual hosting fees.

I would never recommend cheap hosting. It usually means the support is minimal. It can be very frustrating. Imagine telling clients that your web host is not responding to your requests in a timely fashion!

Thanks for the quick reply Bill.
Is that 35.95/month for unlimited sites or a certain amount?
Dave.

It's 20 accounts but within the account you can utilize as many domains as you wish. I know for certain my hosting is not cheap but over the couple of years I've used this company, I've grown to trust their support.

I would do the same and not get a cheap hosting provider for your accounts. You could register your domain through them, but the hosting I never would. Godaddy is one such an example, which I would register a domain, but never use them as a hosting provider. Nowadays, it is best to have a dedicated server and host your own site on it.
