I use high PR as well as do follow directories for creating quality backlinks. After all quality is more important than quantity.

For quality link building, back link should be high pr, related with your site, dofollow. You can choose different ways of links for link building like directory submission, article submission, forum posting, classified posting, social bookmarking submission etc. Divide your keywords and Make daily plan of all this activities.

Relevant backlinks rather than general link building is important. Try to get links from websites which are relevant to your site. Forums, Blogs free or paid, articles.. these three are starting steps of link building, after that bookmarking and networking sites are also good for both traffic and for inks.

When you start getting link building for your website, First get list of your competitors and their back links which was crawled by Google and start generating back links for your website.

I submit my site to good directories and social bookmarking sites and use blogs or forums.

You should get high quality backlinks from a variety of places including, blog and forum commenting, articles directories, bookmarking, YouTube and online press releases. Also guest posts on related blogs can also work well.

Hi I would also do forum marketing,twitter and article marketing,I was told that you need at least 100 article links to start traffic moving towards your site.
